ELECTORAL COMMISSION ENSURE REGISTRATION IS DONE PROPERLY

As the biometric registration commences on the 24 of March after the long debate regarding it from political parties, it has become very relevant for the electoral commission to ensure that registration goes through the right process as anything short of that will ignite unnecessary fire.

In the quest to ensure that things are done properly, the electoral commission should ensure that anything necessary for the exercise is adequately provided at the various registration centers .As many Ghanaians who will be leaving their works to take part in the exercise, has become very imperative for the electoral commission to provide enough personnel at the various stations since not many would want to join long queue.

The commission should keep a firm stance on their decision knowing they have the lives of the population wrapped around them depending on the outcome of the registration and subsequently the elections. The aftermath of their exercise whether good or bad will determine how peaceful the elections will be and whether the country will continue to enjoy the peace it has always enjoyed.

Credibility and fairness is what the Ghanaian EC is noted for throughout the country and across Africa. Is no surprise they are often invited as experts to supervise elections of neighboring Countries.  It should not soil this achievement by succumbing to some cheap politicians who will opt to buy them for their selfish gains.
