THE GRADUAL DOMINANCE OF SMOCK
Since the first president of Ghana DR.Kwame Nkrumah declared Smock as a battle dress, the wear has thence made significant strides into becoming not just a “battle dress” but clothe the populace have come to fall in love with it. This is evident in the proliferation of smock in the market and how people are seen wearing it.

From being a “BATTLE DRESS” smock has now become a prestigious dress worn by people of class and of prestige. In the country today we see smock everywhere, in the schools, hospital, churches etc there is smock. The jeans wear type of smock worn with everything, has paved way to make people look presentable in their offices in smock rather than suit of hitherto.
In every Endeavour of the country currently, we perceive smock making greater impact. It is hence not a surprise that we often present smock to foreigners that visit the country as our mark of love for them. Even though, smock is making a ground breaking intrusion into the foreign market. I envisage smock to gradually gain ground in other countries as in Ghana.
Smock has come and here to stay, this is the reason why if you take ten Ghanaians, seven have smock in their wardrobe regardless of the cost.
